"Now, They've Done it!"

I wonder if you're even aware aware of this newest assault on our Constitution by the U.S. Senate. Here's the best explanation:

So our military will be able to pick up any American citizen, on American soil, and jail them - indefinitely - without due process. Although Obama says he'll veto this bill, Obama says he'll do a lot of things he doesn't do.

An amendment to the bill was proposed that would tighten it up to suspected terrorists only - but that amendment was voted down. They WANT military control over American citizens!

They are working toward a police state! And, this bill effectively wipes out every right we have since any American can be detained by our military - for any reason - or no reason at all!

They did pass an amendment, however, that states that current laws on the matter stand. In other words, the new amendment specifies that the current practices may not change, although it also says explicitly that the military can pursue Americans at home and detain them indefinitely. WTF?

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) says, "The Supreme Court will decide who can be detained; the United States Senate will not,"

The claim is it will finally be decided by the Court, rather than decided politically. Really? And, what the hell are The Supremes if not political?

Different factions are already demanding that certain Supreme Court Justices sit out the decision on the Health Care Law. If that doesn't point to our High Court being something it was never intended to be - I don't know what does!

ALL Americans have now been put at risk of losing due process to the military. Our Bill of Rights is being shredded as it's never been before! And, what do you want to bet the basis of this has to do with the Occupy demonstrations?

One of my favorite news sources is The Guardian in the UK. Why? Because they aren't controlled by our government as our American media is.

There's been an almost complete black-out in the media in this country about this bill. So, I trust what the Brits publish way before I trust anything reported (or, not reported) in the USA.

If Obama doesn't veto this new National Defense Authorization Act, as it stands - and, I don't believe he will - I predict some of the Occupy demonstrators will be the first to see a Gitmo situation for protesting American citizens!

Time to put some pressure on. Does he want to be re-elected - or not?
