"The Jon Huntsman Question"

I was asked over the weekend why I had left Jon Huntsman out when I was making fun of the carnival midway freaks we have running to be selected as the Republican presidential candidate for 2012.

The reason is - I see him as out of place in that merry gang of imbeciles. There's nothing crazy about Jon Huntsman. I believe he's the one person who has a chance of beating Obama.

Frankly, so far, I kinda like the guy - even though I'm completely at odds with some of his beliefs. I'm almost to the point where I'm not sure how much some of those beliefs count for, anyway.

After all - in spite of some conspiracy theorists' opinions, Obama isn't a closet Muslim, but he sure as hell is a closet Republican. So, we'll get the same legislation either way - just as we have been! Unless Obama grows a pair pretty damn quick, Republican/Democrat is meaningless.
